Smart Clicker(tm) coin battery life
There is no power switch. The Smart Clicker(tm) is well.....smart;-)....it automatically detects if it is connected to the app(checkmark=green) and wakes up. Also when you disconnect it from the app(checkmark=grey) it goes to sleep. Another way to think of it is the app tells it to wake up when connected. So if the user forgets to disconnect it from the phone/tablet that will keep it awake and drain the battery. And the best way to disconnect is uncheck it from inside the app. For long term storage: remove the battery or put in the clear plastic battery saving strip that is included. There is a spare battery compartment you can put it in for storage. **Here's an Example of battery life- One user has 2 Smart Clickers(2 dogs) it is in use inside dog toys for mealtime play with a couple of dogs twice a day in TILT mode. The "game/meal" lasts about 20 mins for breakfast and another 20 mins for dinner. So about 40 mins of mealtime play per day 7 days a week. Batteries are changed about once every 1.5-2 weeks. Always disconnect from the app when done to put the Smart Clicker into sleep mode. And of course using a good coin battery is important...watch out for those bargain batteries!
