My Pet Tutor will not turn off

If holding down the power button for several seconds(usually about 5 seconds) will not turn off the feeder
try this:

steps:
1.  Pull one battery
2. Plug A/C Adapter supplied with the unit into the feeder
3. Press the top power button to turn the feeder ON
4. Press the top power button quickly to turn the feeder OFF
5. Pull the A/C Adapter from the feeder
6. Put the battery back in the feeder...there should now be 2 batteries in the feeder
7. Press the power button to turn the feeder back ON

At this point the feeder power should be working properly.

Sometimes forgetting to press the power off button before pulling out the battery or pulling the A/C Adapter can lead to a condition of the power button not powering off the unit.  This procedure gets the power button back in sync.

(the real reason is Pet Tutor loves working so much it just does not want to stop sometimes)
