Feeder not dispensing treats
First make sure the issue is the feeder and not the remote. To do this turn on the feeder and press the manual feed button at the bottom of the feeder. If this works this the problem is most likely a low battery in the remote. Just plug in the remote to recharge it.
1. There are tiny flakes in the food. Some food is flaky (this tends to be expensive high end treats). The problem is the detector that stops the dispense cycle may see these as a treat and stop the motor.
solution: remove tiny flakes from the food or try a different type of treat. There is a nice list of treats/foods that work well created by Pet Tutor(r) owners on the Pet Tutor(r) User Group. This group is by invitation only to owners of a Pet Tutor(r).
2. Low batteries in the feeder.
solution: replace with fresh batteries or use the A/C Adapter provided.
3. Re-calibration of the food/kibble detector. The detector is calibration at the factory and typically not need to be re calibrated. On rare occasion this may need to be performed. The steps for the re-calibration are in the User Manual.
