Nope! Sorry but the AC Adapter that plugs into the feeder just provides an alternative to power from the feeder batteries. If you run off the AC Adapter the batteries are not being used; however, that will not be recharged either. And just in case you wonder about the smart remote...the built in battery in the hand held remote DOES recharge when plug into a USB power source.
