The Pet Tutor remote has two different sound trigger modes using the built in microphone. Both of the modes can be activated using button 2 on the remote. If you press button 2 until you hear a double beep that is sound mode 1 which triggers the feeder on any sharp rising sound. This single sound ("voice") mode is the factory default. However the remote also has a "clicker" trigger mode which responds to the two clicks heard in mechanical clickers. To access this mode you will need the Pet Tutor Control Console program on you laptop. Start-up the program and plug in the remote to the laptop using the USB cable. Go to the tab "Sound/Tilt" and select "Clicker trigger". Make sure the remote is in Sound Mode when you get ready to use it and it should now only respond to two clicks heard in a mechanical clicker.
