Have you considered creating a timed feeder only product? One that has no remote, no bark features, etc. It's only purpose is to set the frequency and amount of food to dispense. This would create a cheaper product option and you can also sell it as both a dog and a cat feeder.

We use ours today for our diabetic cat that must be feed on a regular schedule.
